Announcements & Helpful Links The forty-day fast in preparation for Christmas, known as Phillip’s Fast because it begins on the day after St. Phillip’s Day, begins on Sunday, November 15th. Traditionally, this fast was observed with a Strict Fast from meat and dairy products on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, with a mitigation for wine and oil on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Our Metropolitan Church identifies this period as a penitential season which may be observed in whole or in part according to one’s ability. The Friday Simple Fast from meat remains in effect regardless. Please remember that ECF classes begin promptly at 9:45 AM in the lower level school house of St. Michael Parish Center. Bring your bulletin from St. Michael's Church to the Allentown Brew Works at 812 Hamilton Street, Allentown, or at Main & Broad, Bethelehem, for brunch between 11:00 AM & 4:00 PM on Sundays, and everyone in your party will receive $2.00 off any entrée. Also, show your bulletin at the new Allentown Golf Course Restuarant at 3400 Tilghman St., and everyone at your table will receive 10% off. These offers are good for bulletins distrubuted in church only, not for a copy printed off of this website.

Byzantine Seminary Press The official publishing house of the Byzantine Catholic Metropolitan Church of Pittsburgh, of which our eparchy is a part. It offers the official liturgical books of our Church, and other useful items of interest to both clergy and laity.	Eastern Christian Pubilications A publishing house offering many helpful resources for Eastern Christians, both Catholic and Orthodox. Some official publications of our Church can be obtained here, along with scholarly journals concerning the Eastern Churches, and some offical publications of other Eastern Churches.
The Holy See The official web site of the Vatican and all it's dicasteries and departments. Among other things, it offers the texts of many Church documents, along with the homiles and addresses of Pope Benedict XVI, and other valuable recources concerning the Catholic Church.	Bibilia Clarus A resource for Catholic priests provided by the Holy See's Congregation for Clergy. It offers official and patristical commentaries on Holy Scripture, homilies of the Fathers of the Church, magisterial documents, and access to the electronic library of the Congregation.
