The Maine Sea Coast Mission

In honor of Sigma Kappa's five founders, in 1918 the Sorority chose to support the Maine Sea Coast Missionary Society as the its first national philanthropy.

Support includes:

• The Mission's Christmas program - including gifts to needy families during the holiday season
• Emergency relief program - providing assistance with food, clothing, shelter and medical needs
• Scholarships - to young men and women from the islands who might not otherwise have educational opportunities beyond high school
