An EAC Officers’ Meeting is planned so that we can write up the annual report, establish 2007 goals and transition new officers into their positions.

28 February 2007 Opera Night – La Bohème at the ENO
Although not a Sigma Kappa event, this is being planned by Maria Rankine (Sigma Kappa) – tickets go fast so book online now if you are interested. Tickets cost £35 each.

11-13 May 2007 Avenue Q Theatre Weekend

After the hugely successful Wicked Weekend in September, our German Sigma Kappa theatre loving sisters have requested another event in London – this time a trip to Avenue Q. Please email Donna with your date preferences so we can choose a date and put the plan into action.
18-21 May 2007 Trip to Le Marche, Italy
Accommodation possible at Gina Wills’ home
The plan is to fly into Pescara, Italy (Ryanair is usually the cheapest) for a 4-day weekend. This trip is a great opportunity to see the Italian countryside in a region not only known for its wine, but also its shoe factories. And the hostess skills of Gina Wills, our chapter VP Membership, are known to be amazing! We’re looking at a max of 6 people so please contact Crystal White ASAP if you are interested.
9-10 June 2007 Weekend in Versailles, France

Stephanie Sarles, our sister in Versailles, has offered to guide us around this wonderfully historic city. The plan is to arrive in Versailles by train, tour the palace in the afternoon, and eat a wonderful French dinner. Sunday might entail a nice walk around town and seeing sisters off for the journey home. Please contact Crystal White if you are interested in attending (she can also help with arranging train tickets).
June 2007 Trip to Norwich Cathedral
Norwich, Norfolk
Hosted by Sarah Pikett, the exact date and time will be chosen closer to the date. A chance to see a fantastic cathedral in East Anglia and to get a bite to eat and catch up with sisters over lunch. Staying overnight is also an option so that you can enjoy a weekend with sisters.

Meet up with Nancy Grave who will show us the beautiful grounds and visitor center – a one hour walk in the Park followed by a lovely lunch.

One of our sisters in Holland, Tessa Visser, is planning a day or weekend away to this “Venice of the North”, the city of Bruges. 29-30 September 2007 Trip to Oktoberfest in Munich, Germany

Nikki Camhout, our sister in Oberammergau, Germany, has offered to show us the ropes of enjoying one of the premier festivals in Europe. The plan is to arrive Saturday morning at Oberammergau, take the train into Munich for the festival, and train back to stay in Oberammergau (for less expensive hotels) Saturday night. 9-11 November 2007 European Alumnae Chapter 10th Anniversary Meeting
Paris, France
Join us for an amazing EAC 10th anniversary celebration in Paris, the city of hearts and sisterhood. Plans are afoot for a grand meal on Saturday the 10th with stunning views of Paris, a boat tour, and a stay in St Germain de Pres – right in the midst of the hum and buzz of the Left Bank. Please start saving as the initial estimates are for €300 for two nights, two meals, and a weekend of style and pizzazz as only Sigma Kappas in Europe can, and we don’t want anyone to miss out! Please RSVP to Deborah Westerduin and Tessa Visser, chapter Presidents, ASAP (no later than May 4, 2007).

December 2007 Trip to German Christmas Markets

Gluhwein, chocolate covered fruit and a fun Christmas spirit will be found on this annual trip! The finalists for locations are Cologne (with 6 markets in one city and all accessible via local train) or Stuttgart (with multiple suburbs markets accessible by train). The plan is to arrive Saturday; tours markets and have a wonderful dinner before retiring to a local hotel. Sunday will bring a beautiful walk around town before returning home.
