Herman is a small male that I was given by Michelle who also lives here in Orlando. Prior to when Michelle got Herman, his back broke in several places. Fortunately, his spinal cord was not cut. Herman does have a big hump in his back, which does make it more difficult for him to climb than normal.
Cageophobia is a word coined by me and I've seen two of my iguanas that had it bad. Herman was caged in a small cage. He was very defensive of any container that he was put in. If you reached in, he would whip, bite, and charge you. When you get a hand on him, he starts rolling. Remove the cage from his life for most of the day, suddenly you have a very different iguana. He is a big green pussy cat. Chili another male also had this.
Herman is bright orange right now since he is in season.
