Ed is Fred's sister. Fred was bigger and got to eat everything she wanted. So Ed got the leftovers. When Ed arrived here she had severe MBD, but she had no broken bones. The Winter Park Vet Dr Hess examined Ed.
For over a year I kept Ed and Fred together. They got along just fine until Ed started chasing Fred. Fred can't defend herself very well, because she is paralyzed. At this point I moved Ed to the same area as the other adults.
Ed mated with Mojo in 1999 for the first time. The size difference between them was great, but Mojo was very gentle and I couldn't see any bite marks on Ed.

*Two of Ed's babies were put to sleep due to blindness. Once again FL Power's Energy Management was to blame for the birth defects.
Ed's nest in 1999 was the deepest of all the iguanas I've had lay eggs. The first of her eggs was buried under 8" of sand. The bottom of her nest was 12" deep and this was in a rubbermaid roughneck container that is about 18" deep.
