Using the keyboard and mouse to type words that will reinforce "the letter of the week."

 

Students will recognize that the computer is similar to pencil and paper and can be used for writing
Practicing hand/eye coordination in order to practice mouse skills
 

Students use keyboard and mouse to complete worksheets on the computer
Worksheets have one word on each line and boxes above that require them to place each letter of the word into a separate box
These worksheets are matched to the "letter of the week" in their language arts classes

November

Using the keyboard and mouse to type words that will reinforce the "letter of the week"
Introducing sentences so that the letter of the week can be recognized in context

Practicing hand/eye coordination in order to master mouse skills
 

Students use keyboard and mouse to complete worksheets on the computer
Worksheets have one word on each line and boxes above that require them to place each letter of the word into a separate box
To assist students in recognizing words, pictures of objects starting with those letters are added
These worksheets are matched to the "letter of the week" in their language arts classes
