Current Power Crisis Update
After
lots of rolling blackouts earlier this year, the efforts of the utility companies
and the tremendous conservation by consumers prevented the need of further
outages. Now the government and the utilities are trying to come up with a long
term solution that will prevent power shortages and very high electricity and
gas prices. PG&E Corporation recently proposed a plan of reorganization that will help
the company get back on its feet after being bankrupt for months.
