The foundation flock is a fine wool cross originating from Richard Hamilton of
Rio Vista, CA. The first ewes are Steadfast Stockdogs arrived the Spring I moved in in 2004. The are 1/4 Ramboulliet 3/8
Targhee and 3/8 Finn Sheep. The are easy keepers on poor pasture, excellent mothers, and prolific (200% lambing
rate).
In 2004 and 2005, I used a North Country Cheviot ram to produce ewe lambs
to grow my maternal flock.
