Unicode 5.0 Tutorial

 
 
Unicode Tutorial

The Unicode 5.0 Tutorial developed by ASMUS, Inc., is a three part tutorial covering the core concepts and fundamentals specifications of the Unicode Standard, with special emphasis on the algorithms defined in the standard and other technical specifications of the Unicode Consortium. The tutorial has been presented at several Internationalization and Unicode Conferences. The description of the technical concepts is aligned with the recently published text of the version 5.0 of the Unicode Standard.

The tutorial is available for onsite presentation. Presentation languages: English and German.

 
 

Unibook Character Browser

 
 

Unibook

The Unibook Character Browser is a small utility created by ASMUS, Inc. It can be used  for offline viewing of the character charts and character properties for The Unicode Standard. It can also be used to cut&paste character codes.

The Unibook utility is derived from the program developed by ASMUS, Inc. to print the character code charts for the Unicode Standard and ISO/IEC 10646. Unibook is available free of charge for downloading.

Unicode Poll

In 2005, prior to the publication of Unicode 5.0, ASMUS, Inc. conducted a poll designed to discover the different ways that  users of the Unicode Standard access the printed and online documentation for that standard. (See Poll Results). The results of that poll were instrumental in the redesign of the Unicode 5.0 book by the Unicode Consortium.
