SPROCKET!
Now has his own page!
Found 11/27/01 (approximate 3years of
age) The little guy looked at me and I almost broke into tears (of happiness). We whisked him off to the veterinarian who gave him something to kill the fleas, medicated shampoo, crème rinse, all his booster shots and a treat. I took him home and gave him 2 baths, pulled off lots of dead fleas and ticks, brushed him, gave him a meal and introduced him to Kodiak and Homey cat. We decided it would not be such a good idea to introduce him to the rats as he is a Cairn terrier. Hubby named him Sprocket (since he found him biking), and said he was my anniversary present (our anniversary was 2 days before). Little Sprocket is the best present I have ever received. He has slept with us every night, and is as charming as can be.BEAR I knew this would be the most difficult to write. I lost my best friend to a short battle with a very aggressive oral cancer. Bear went to heaven on September 9, 2001. I realized during those last few days that she was the most stable thing in my life; she had been with me longer than any relationship, longer than any friend, thirteen and a half years of unconditional love and licks. I miss her a lot, I wonder if she misses me? |
KODIAK When one thinks of the Akita
region of Japan, the first thought is of the beautiful women of the
area, long known as Akita Beauties. In July
1931, the government of Japan designated the Akita breed as a national
monument and as one of Japan's national treasures. |

| RUFUS Rufus was my hubby's dog. He was one of the reasons I fell in love. Rufus was found during a rainstorm and no one claimed him (really?). Hubby decided he was the bees-knees (which he was) and kept him, probably to lure me away from my little slice of heaven in Lake Tahoe, but I was a smart girl no dog could do that.... but Ruffie. Good thing he did or who knows who would have been taking care of hubby now. Rufus left us in August of 2000. He and Bear enjoy running in the green grass over the rainbow bridge now. |
